Seven virtuoso wirewalkers perform an aerial choreography that is also a poetic autobiography, one man’s song sung by seven expressive bodies. Le Fil sous la neige is the story of Antoine Rigot who was himself a virtuoso until a fall six years ago relegated him to the ground. As the troupe recounts his life, we are left suspended, gripped by what the aerial ballet reveals of the fleeting, fragile quality of life and desire, and our awkwardness at living. The show drew raves from the European press. A rare chance to experience an unforgettable evening of profoundly moving circus theatre. Carpe diem!
The wire is demanding but I am determined
I’m caught, carried away
Emptiness all around
My body, hypnotized, sways
My spirit escapes and I begin to dream
I don’t know it yet but I am on a spirit quest
-Antoine Rigot, Director
