TOHU's Residents

La TOHU dream finally came true in the summer of 2004. With the opening of a public pavilion located at the corner of Jarry and d'Iberville Streets, in Montréal. La TOHU became a unique hub for the performance, the creation, the production and the teaching of circus arts. Cirque du Soleil, the National Circus School, the En Piste group (whose offices are at the Circus School) and La TOHU have now come together to ensure that circus arts blossom in Quebec and around the world.

La TOHU is more than about supporting the circus arts industry. Influenced by its neighbours (environmentally-friendly Gazmont, the recuperation centre for recycled materials and the Centre d'expertise des matières résiduelles) et by the territory in which it put down its roots (the Saint-Michel Environmental Complex), La TOHU has also chosen to be a fascinating place where culture, environmental consciousness and the community become closely intertwined and constantly influence each other.
